Take a trip to Shell Beach lately?

Even though you didn't actually name the film...it is of course Dark City.

OK, I'm just going to post up all the ones I posted which haven't been guessed yet.

    1.

    2.

    3.

    4.

    For a few clues.

1 & 3 are both taken from Irish films.

2 is a foreign (don't like that term) language film.

    4 is a British film.

    5 is an American film.

Is 4 that one with Bob Hoskins? Felicia's Journey.
No idea why but that just popped into my head.

    5 Requiem For a Dream?

    Sorry, wrong on both.

    Bob Hoskins isn't in 4.

Wild guess at #4 - is it 'The Krays'?

And is #3 'War Of The Buttons'?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 441 ✭✭purple_hatstand

Hank Jones, I think #1 is from David Lynch's 'Mulholland Dr.' -right before the Club Silencio scene.

Doubt it... unless 'Requiem For A Dream' is Irish! ;)

Of course, neither is Mulholland Dr. - 'twas the first thing that popped into my head when I saw the cobbledy street/large building/nightscape. Reading the clues...who'dathought that was important?

    Is number 2 Il Conformista?

Number 2 is indeed Il Conformista (The Conformist).

One of the best shot films I have ever seen.

Hah I just came in here to say the Conformist :p I hadn't intended watching it tonight, but since the TV was occupied I didn't get around to watching the Good the Bad and The Ugly like I had intended to (too long!), so I flicked through a couple of taped films I had saved up and settled on that. When I saw that screenshot pop up on screen I laughed out loud, had seen it on here a couple of times over the last few days!

    Ok, that leaves 1,3,4 & 5.

    1.

    28cfscz.jpg

    3.

    iojkv7.jpg

    4.

    zxt9py.jpg

    5.

    33vkehv.jpg

    For a few clues.

1 & 3 are both taken from Irish films, 1 was made in 2004, 3 made in 1984.

4 is a British film, made in 1986.

5 is an American film, made in 1996.

If people don't get them in the next day or so, I'm just going to give the answers.
