That's actually coming for next year's 5th years. Project maths. It's disgraceful. They're doing away with a lot of the calculus (if not all of it. Haven't seen any), also matrices (which imo should be expanded because it currently is a joke) and vectors.

Haven't met a single maths teacher who agrees with it. Not one.
What they should be doing is improving the standard of maths teaching in primary school, not dumbing down the Leaving Cert course.

My school has 2 higher level maths classes, and it's a school for girls. We're actually very proud of it, because a lot of schools have only 5-10 people in their HL class =/

If I meet you, you'll probably meet him. Lifts from the bf ftw ^_^
Do NOT bring it up!!! He won't be happy lol

I'm sure I can manage to put makeup on you and make you smile and look like a girl =P I can use my woman powers!

Yeah from the sample paper I saw I thought ti was somebody taking the piss.
I love matrices too much, mmm gaussian elimination. Also have a fondness for eigen values and eigenvectors mmm. Enough math drooling for now(Venn diagrams, oh baby!) They should be! In my school when I was finished my work ahead of others I was meant to do some maths from the book...then the next years book etc..I was finished sixth classes book in 1st class haha, that was good, they got you to learn and such, still dunno how well it was taught for people with maths trouble. Obv not well enough! Yeah girls have that natural disadvantage do they :P
Well had two classes as well, maybe three. I imagine numbers dwindle each year. Pass is a bit of a joke and don't get me started on foundation...ti should be rare that people do them, for a good reason. Then again, I didn't know any Irish and still made myself do honours, would have saved a lot of needless effort to do pass. Wish they didn't make us learn it.

Oh I adore being driven by a gf, that is so sexy/cute. Dunno, i just like them driving for some reason. :D
    Handy also!

No he won't but i can subtly allude to it at first, oh teasing is fun.

Hmm if you had to use the womanly powers it would take me to do all that your bf would be far more unhappy =p

Goodnight Moonbaby! See you soon hopefully!

Eh.. Peas, I think that's a hint :pac:

Night night Moon! ^^ Sweet dreams

    /emotionally invests in stock :pac:

Oh I would do anything like that for a gf, it's just best they never know that -_-
Sure you probably saw my hair the weird way it was in some pic, like loads of hairbands in it to hold it up weirdly...well it wasn't my idea etc :/

Hehe in my school (in Spain) we were a tiny class (in 4th class we were 6 people, in 5th class we were 12 or so), so we went through everything very fast. Eventually my teachers began to just teach us secondary school stuff and telling us not to tell anyone. Was fun =] My maths teacher's teaching revolved around how to cheat the tax system though.

    I have a guy mind so I'm ok :P

Womanly powers are more powerful than you realise, and guy resistance is much weaker than you'd think =P

Very small classes there...mine was over 30. Don't know any any more, well one or two but never see them. Don't tell people about your secret learning haha,so you can do my taxes?

Hmm well it's more guylike than the average girl I'll give you that. It's just not the testosterone filthzone that mine is :p
It's easier to relate to guymindedgirls.

I know all that too well :/
I don't like that you seem to know about the powers so well..been returning calculators have we -_-

I am building resistance! Even if it is futile.

Yeah my school was placed in an offices area so not many people sent their children there. That made it a very very good school though. I'd be nothing without them, and I'm still in touch with the teachers and principals.

    You're not meant to agree!

Haha I love that sentence about building resistance.

Ah I'm sure you'd get on in a normal one anyway, would be nice to have that though, much more personalised in a smaller school like that. You talk to the teachers o_0

Oh well you are very girly, don't get me wrong /ruffle
    Better?

I am not happy with the powers. I demand powers of my own!

Yeah it was great. I have their numbers. We used to go out to McDonalds down the road. They gave us presents on our birthday ^_^ and my favourite teacher ever is on facebook hehe.

Nahh I'm the first to admit I have an oddly masculine mind. Boyfriend agrees so it must be true. Then again I tend to dislike girls and like guys better for friends so it all works out. *shakes fist at parents who put me in a girls' school*

Awwww you do have powers Peas! You have the power to submit to women :)

Presents, wow! haha, some school that. Lovely, mac donalds not so much, that's child cruelty :p

My favourite teacher is a priest, which is funny as I detest religion so much, just such a nice, fair man and was very good about me questioning him. He brought me for cwoffee after the leaving cert ^_^ He also remembered things like anniversaries in my family etc <3

Good good, Generally they are the best girls, the ones with more male friends. Well i like them more anyway. Sucks about the all girls school so, I am not a fan of my all guy one either, for different reasons. -_-

haha I hope submit means underneath, not a bad power then :p

I remember the times I went to my teacher's holiday home, and the one time when she randomly appeared in my birthday party to give me more presents, telling me not to tell the other kids at school ^^

    Why do you hate religion?

Hehe when I told my friends in Spain before moving to Ireland that I was going to an all girls school they immediately informed me that I'd turn into a lesbian

*removes freshly typed nsfw comment* Em.. No, that's not what I meant.

Oooh holiday home and extra presents, somebody was the pet! :)

Well that's a long and complicated discussion I don't want at 7am hehe. Might boil down to a general belief(which I could have more respect for) in something one could call a god, vs a defined flavour of an abrahamic or otherwise religion, where one has a fervent zeal that theirs is right, the morals associated are simply correct, objectively, and any other religion is false. Mostly where you are born affecting what religion you are, how you are raised, what your parents believe etc. When in fact they are all bollocks in my opinion(no offense meant to those reading, protestant or otherwise :p). Mostly religions come with morals that are insidious in the manner that they preach something good, yet backhandedly spread hate or inequality of something natural like homosexuality/even sex or of women, as small examples. I believe it holds people back, that sometimes people need to believe in something and that sometimes it does help them to grasp hold of something but in the end it should die out, they are grasping something fake for comforts sake. We don't need something to explain why the sun rises any more. Something born out of the unknown, us needing an explanation. Another de facto part is invariably some form of punishment for not obeying, handy that. Obeying due to fear is not a virtue. In the end I think Die Religion ... ist das Opium des Volkes...Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, and the soul of soulless conditions. It is the opium of the people. Then again we are all entitled to our opinions. =p

Irrelevant question to me anyway, nothing could exist I would deem a good and not simply a powerful entity/alien. And I could certainly picture something more worthy of worship that the Abrahamic or other gods humans have invented on Earth.

Haha, then I would be pretty gay by now, I think going to school with guys made me more straight, can't see what girls see in them ^_^

lol @ the freshly typed bit! Still, I'll hold to my belief :p
Ah damn the powers really, stoopid girls with their things and words.

I agree with a lot of your points actually =] Yes I do believe in God, sort of, and I do consider myself a protestant, but... yeah. Not getting into it. Besides I'm not exactly the best. I think at the end of the day I don't care much about what other people think or believe in as long as they don't affect me, and vice versa.

Jesus... 7am. Didn't notice that coming. We're getting old. You faster than me ofc.

I think the best solution for humanity would be to worship me tbh.

What I liked about my priest teacher is that he agreed with me on what I brought up along these lines( I was an annoying child), he listened and logically went through things with you, in the end he said I was probably right but he believes, and the only reason why is faith. Fair enough, better than the block head answers I get from others, grr book says it right, so it's right durrrr. But this book is right, not that other one..and only these chapters. Oh and this bit is a metaphor now and that bit isn't.

Oh good good, lets avoid, i don;t want to be poking at somebodies beliefs in particular. So I'll just poke you in general. /poke

I remember when, about 7 years old, I stopped believing, if belief was what you call it(parents and dude every sunday say it, why wouldn't it be true?). And nobody wants to fade into dust now do they. Something struck a chord with me about my dog dying and he supposedly not having a soul and I did. Like we were supposedly the 'chosen race' in a world full of simple animals, including us. Yet another way to separate us, make us think we are better than something else. Didn't sit with child peas, not one bit, led on from there.

I don't mind if they don't have an effect, people should believe what they want and everybody believes different things if you look deep enough on any topic...if you asked people here about ethics and animals, none would agree wholly. Probably most wouldn't even be close. I do think somethings like organised religion have an adverse affect, thats for another time/never :pac:

thanks for the me faster bit -_-
    I'm 24 ina couple weeks :/

    Oh but we do ;)

    /curtsy

Hmm funny that you mention that. My boyfriend was an atheist from the age of 12. Then one of the best cats ever (one of his family's) died. That's when he began to think about life and death and in his mind it didn't work out that such an extraordinary cat and his sister (our favourite cat) could come from nothing, live life, and then go back to nothing. So for him there must be something on both sides, otherwise life just doesn't make sense. He's not religious mind you, but that's his belief.

I find it interesting to discover other people's beliefs. I say I'm protestant, but it's just because titles make things easier. I'm actually not in favour of organised religion, because most of the time it turns people into mindless drones. There's nothing wrong with questioning your beliefs. That's the only way to go really.

Bah I'm not very good at articulating thoughts in general, and sleeping every two days certainly does not help haha

Wait, so I have new followers?

Two sides to every coin etc...and even the annoying bit where it stands on one edge. Life has to make sense eh, wish it did ^_^ That's a tough road to go down, it doesn't necessitate or imply a god, for there is no reason that something like that could exist forever, and something like a universe could not. If something had to create the universe, then something had to create that etc. It just begs the question of how the fook does anything have a beginning. One, I think time is a property of this universe, we can not say such a linear progression happens outside it, there might not just be time elsewhere(a difficult concept). All we can do is guess and hurt our heads. You have no idea how oft I ponder questions that are unanswerable like this :/

As for us simply existing and not existing in such a linear fashion at life and death, I don't really think that is the case on such a small scale, maybe at a universe level. We are elements in a system governed by physics, we are not elements in a system and the system reacts to us. ie, I think we are but machines, electro chemical machines, we are computers. Advanced computers but computers. We are comprised of elements within the universe at birth and go back to them at death. We are always that dust we revert to. So yeah, we are all just part of the universe, there is only just one person really. Yes I'm very tired :D

How many followers did you have? Surely they do not rival my own :pac:

So it turned out that, as always, planned nights either dont go ahead or end up sucking...tonight didnt go ahead so I went on a walk, put the Beauty and The Beast OST playlist on my phone and off I went.

Back now after 40 mins, have tequila and coke infront of me (only stuff combine-able at home to make a nice alcoholic drink) and about to log onto CS:S again...this'll get fun once the tequila kicks in:D:D

Would have liked to go out tonight...ah well:)
