Gaza blockade protest
It's a picture of nothing happening dude....no context, no strength. could be 2 random people anywhere....Sorry but it is weak docu photog. It doesn't tell me its a protest. It could be 2 girls waiting for the bus. Mabye next time try capture something about the protest that beams the concept of the photo (ie protest) without any explaination?
maybe I'm biased cycling by the protests every day in London and see a more militant side of things....hundreds of cops...lots of tension

There's no fancy technique, I just stuck the camera on a tripod, switched it to the 2 second timer mode and messed around with the shutter speed and aperture. I just held the torch in different positions until i was happy with the shadows. i think i used the lowest aperture setting which was a lousey f5.6 or something, a shutter speed of 1/15th of a sec and iso 800. this probably didn't help in any way 0 -

Was the light close to your subjects face or did you shine it from far away? Did you shine it from underneath, to the side or directly in their face?
Sorry for the questions but it's an excellent photo so I'm curious.0 -
