It was the same with me - but a quick check on their systems proved I was right. You should get back on and ask them to check - it is literally an unbelievable offer, so in fairness to the staff they just don't expect it to be correct.

Midleton out of Band Hero. Still have DJ Hero for the Wii apparently.
They won't accept Fight Night 3 either.

But anyone who reads of Bargain Alerts regularly and would want to avail of this offer would probaly have seen it and had a go at getting a copy of it.
Those who don't read it, or not as regurlarly, would still get a chance at a discounted copy on adverts/etc, instead of missing out completely.

Saying that...I wouldn't be all positive for those buying more than one....

Wouldn't accept GTA IV for me

(said it had to be Episodes from liberty city story ?)
Which kinda sucks as I only played it once after buying it at full price :L (really not my type of game)

Any know any more games that they might be acccepting? No hmv so cheap bionic commando looks out of the question...got Argos/tesco/xtravision to work with.

No chance of them accepting two lower value games for it? (say GTA IV and Blue Dragon...all I have really :L)

Who said I was trying to make a profit on it? I got this offer for the Wii and seeing as you have such good observational skills you may notice that my ad states this is a PS3 copy of the game. For anyone else who thinks I should be banned could you please tell me why I should be banned? Oh and by the way thanks to the OP really enjoying this game on the Wii as I don't have a PS3 anymore!

Been watching this thread all week and the temptation finally got to me today so I decided to ring around our local Gamestops (in Limerick) to see if they still had the boxset in stock. They all but laughed at me and told me that they were sold out of them on the first day.

Just amazed me because of all the comments from different parts of Ireland like Galway where even the staff didn't know about the offer and here in limerick it was probably lucky that someone didnt lose a limb for them

you have more than likely bought two of them so, and are trying to profiteer off one of them, you shoulda had a bit more cop on to advertise it on adverts.ie

most of its users are rather savvy, as you have found out by being caught out :pac:

wouldnt be a fan of what you have done, some fella who was genuinely looking to get it on the ps3 now has likely lost out

If anyone is near Mayo, I think they have some Band Hero and DJ Hero in stock in Castlebar, not sure what consoles they have them left on tho.

I hate to post more off topic on a great thread. But relax, I was just joking. I couldn't give a damn what anyone does with it. Although it is slightly unfair that others miss out on the offer because you want to make a few quid.

There are loads of DJ Hero left in Newry. Traded in UFC Undisputed, was delighted with that. Its trade in value was 4.50 sterling. A mate also traded in a scratched FIFA 10 which he told your man it was fairly scratched and he didn't know if it worked. The fella didn't really care and just took it. We felt like we actually stole the games off gamestop. Great bargain.
