Was in the Sligo store this evening, it took me ages to find them but eventually I did, 9 of them on the shelf and the price tag said €40.81 so I brought it to the counter and asked the lady to scan it, she told me it was €40.81 so I left it behind me :(

Guess they're doing that in a few places now.. they definitely were marked at €13.61 when I was in on Saturday, but they'd none left. So as soon as they got stock, they pushed price back up.

got the last two on Saturday in Castlebar for the €13 price - they were marked at the €40 price...

It was probably a special 2 day offer or stock clerance thingy, but i think Boards members cleaned the entire Tesco chain out! :-)

btw...i love my drive, tiny, lightweight, Readyboost, 16GB + 13 squid....all it needed was a free body massage :-)

13 m/s write speed on mine, very impressive, faster that my expensive corsair.

HD Tune 4.50 Pro reports slower; 8-10MB/s write....but read speeds are very good, 26-28MB/s :)

Assumed these are gone, or back up to full price everywhere.

So I've marked it as Expired.

Got one of these for €13 odd last week - was in tesco Waterford this evening and I see they've gone up to €50+ Euro (think it was €59)

The €13 must have been a misprice - they cost at least double that on the net.

Well Done and Thanks to the OP!

    Where's the Fraud?
As I see it, they don't work, he can't find his receipt and wants to borrow someone elses receipt or have I missed something.
If you don't find someone with a receipt, if you paid for it by CC, that might be of use to you.

    Hi All,
My 16gb flashdrive failed on me as well, it was giving me a "write protected error". I only had used it for about a month. I too did not keep my receipt. I sent it back to HP who returned it to me saying they don't actually make the flashdrive at all. They told me to send it to PNY. To cut a long story short I just got back an email from PNY saying they won't do anything without a receipt.
I've asked how come the unit seems to be failing for so many people and surely its a defect on their end. We'll see what they come back with.

Try this Utility from HP for restoring flash drives worked for me when I had the same problem on these 16gb flash drives when you unzip the file right click and Run as Administrator use quick format

Tried that and various other things before opting to send it off. Sorry if it came across like fraudulent but it isn't I did purchase these but with cash and don't have the receipt unfortunately.

Mine failed aswell, really not happy about it. I had kinda given up on trying to send it in as I dont have a reciept but if anyone gets anywhere with this, that'd be great. I started a thread on it a while ago: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056065441
