The award is a BSc. (Hons) in Informatics Entrepreneurship. It basically takes the 'core' aspects of the traditional one-year Informatics honours degrees, such as the final-year projects, and combines them with entrepreneurial skills modules. These skills are becoming the key differentiator for hiring of graduates.

Anyone thinking of doing it? They need numbers for September. I am split, I love computing, but a bit of business couldn't hurt your career I guess. I don't know if I'd have any good product based marketable ideas :D:D

They're really pushing Entrepreneurship up there now with the new facilities in B block for it.

I think employers would actually value this. It's taking deeply technical (CompSci) and marrying it with business ideas, I can see you standing out by having it. I think thats what the college is aiming for and usually they'll say anything to get people in the door and on to courses they think will get a decent job out of.

The more I look at it the more it seems like a better idea... it's a toughie

    Thanks for that.

Looks like an interesting course. I'd recommend it to all third year Computing students progressing to fourth year. Unless you were thinking of staying in Acedemia, I'd say this would serve you well.

How many hours in college would be expected on this course.

    Anyone have any idea.

    Thanks,
