Just going through youtube, some not very well known but good (imo) stuff people might not have heard...

And yes, I know Easy-E and MC Ren are well known, but their solo stuff and the above songs less so. Ren always had an incredible voice.

MC Ren's album The Villain in Black is excellent, but didnt really listen to anything after that. Must go back and check his recent stuff out. INcredible voice and awesome flow, but his subject matter just gets a bit repetitive.

Oh and Eazy E was the reason i got into hip hop, Eazy Duz It was the first album that really grabbed my attention and i can to this day still rattle off the lyrics

Gooy choice Jay, Nine's first 2 albums are excellent. I recently heard him as a feature on something new, for the life of me i cant remember what it is.....anyway, he's just not the same anymore

And Craig Mack was an excellent piece of business by Puff, some of the stuff after his Bad Boys days is great.

That Sinatra sample is class, used to dj with a guy called Cayn a good few years back and he used to rinse it. Macks flow and voice are incredible!

I had a chat with a guy round 22 a few weeks back and the guy in question has produced numerous tracks for emcee's of his own age group around the country. I won't name the guy cus i don't want to shame him again, but he had never even heard of Erick Sermon, Keith Murray or Def Squad, the only reason he knew who Redman was he'd seen him in How High!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of the most slept on producers in the game!

Wow never heard of the Def Squad, there's a while new chapter of history open to him now...then there's the Hit Squad, then the classic EPMD stuff, Illegal....and the list goes on. Or even Das Efx probably......
