First football match that I cried about. :o

I was in bits. I couldnt watch the Terry penalty, just couldn't do it, the whole walk up I had my head in my hands, and just as he hit it I looked up and we all just went absolutely ballastic. Then when Anderson put the ball in the net, you just knew it was ours.

One of the happiest moments of my life

My abiding memory of that game was that my father was inside in the kitchen shouting for Chelsea, my mother and brother were in the sitting room shouting for Chelsea and I was away in the smallest bedroom watching it supporting United, I was the same, couldn't watch Terry's peno, and when he missed, I felt that it was made for United to win it! Rest of the house was ghostly quiet, me going ballistic!

    Some night!

Here is what i was hoping Fergie wouldn't be saying this summer:

On the other hand the new signing seems very thankful to be a red devil:

lol at resting the world cup players for the first month of next season. I'll believe that when I see it.

    There only really Vidic,Evra,Nani and Rooney. Carrick is benchboy and Rio cant be counted on going by last season. Can see the team being like this then ;

VDS,Neville/Rafael,Brown,Evans,O'Shea Scholes,Fletcher,Valencia,Giggs Berbaflop & Owen. We usually get put with Arsenal/Chelsea in early September so I reckon the World cup boys will easily be back by then

    You forgot Hernandez

    You forgot Hernandez

Fergie said he would be joining up with the squad in the States straight after the WC so I would imagine he would be on the bench come August

Yeah hopefully he can show good form on the tour and go ahead of berbatov in the forward stakes, im sure he will sooner rather than later.

You're sure he'll be second choice striker sooner rather than later.

What are you basing this on Meg?

    Who or what is meg??

I said if he does well he will be second choice striker, its not too difficult Berbatov had numerous chances over the season to impress and he has failed to do so, Owen is only a bit part player and Macheda struggled to get on the bench last season.

Don't get it twisted, this is just my opinion.

FYP. Tbh I see Hernandez as a player for the season after next at the earliest. I imagine it will take him some time to get used to playing in England for a start, maybe some cup games next season, and depending on how well he does he might make the bench for some PL games. To say he will be the second choice striker next season would be way off imo. But feel free to requote my post when he gets a hat-trick in the Derby next season ;):D

I agree but id love to see him do well eary on, thats if fergie plays him but prob will need some time to adjust to english football hes at a great age 22 in a week and a half, looks promising from the clips Ive seen of him

No you said you were sure he was going to be second choice striker. I asked you what you were using as the basis for this, was it the 0 goals scored in his last 4 games. The fact that he has never played in the EPL do you just expect him to adopt over night. My my you have high hoped for him. I just think they're a bit far fetched to say the least.

Also Lol at your comments about Owen and Macheda. Both were injured for most of the season and imo both with be ahead of Hernandez at the start of the year if fit.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,080 ✭✭✭TonyD79

He is also a poacher like Owen so will struggle to play with Rooney like last year when Fergie only picked Rooney up top on his own or with Berbaflop.

Van Der Vaart isn't leaving the city of Madrid, isn't his wife getting cancer treatment there? That's why he didn't leave last Summer IIRC.

Macheda has alot to learn. I'd personally much rather him go out on loan to a Wigan or Blackburn to learn his trade because he is not the finished article by any means.

LMAO your either childish or just taking the piss, i never said im sure he is going to be second choice striker at the start of the season you fool haha so why do you keep saying i did?? Go on and show me where i said that LMAO

THIS is what i said: sooner rather than later he will be ahead of berbatov, i also said he will need time to adjust. Thats my opinion because for me Berbatov just hasn't been up to it, he was given numerous chances throughout the season and the amount of good chances he has wasted is despicable for a United player.

THEN in a separate post I said if he does well(through the season obviously) he can be second choice striker, if you are going to keep quoting me i suggest you pay more attention to my posts.

One thing i was wrong about was Macheda yes he was out injured for most of the season.Cheers for correcting that eclectichoney. In my opinion Owen is a bit part player, hes not gonna start many games.

OH and WHERE did you ask me ''what my basis for this'' was before your last post??? LMAO your full of tripe :D

I agree he needs a good run in a team, i just don't see him getting a good run with United again this season even if he stays injury free. He looks a top player though definitely one for the future.

Well the answer was all we hoped for and more eh Ric?

I'd agree with Ireland suiting better than the other two, not really a fan of milner tbh and still not convinced over Modric.

I think a creative midfielder is more of a priority than a striker, we've scored plenty of goals, it's dreating them in tight matches that have cost us, Burnley, Blackburn are the two that spring to mind at once.
    lordgoat wrote: »
Yes the clear lack of goals this season, mainly due to ronaldo going has been the biggest downfall. Do people even watch us play?

I think we should probably invest in two if not three more strikers, play them all with some attacking wing back and that should mean we don't need to invest in a creatvity lightmidfield.

LOL funny chap, a bit of a hyprocrite too hahahhahahahahha

I'm interested in what you think would be his motivation be for telling lies about this?
Ferguson is a pathological liar when it comes to the media. He doesnt need a motivation. He has no respect for the media. Zero. Because of the way he believe he was treated in his early years at MU. He bears a grudge like no man alive!

Yeah now we have Hernandez we should loan him. With Rooney, Berbatov, Owen, Hernandez and talk of a new forward games would be far and few.

Before anything go back and read your first post. It's the one where you say:

Yeah hopefully he can show good form on the tour and go ahead of berbatov in the forward stakes, im sure he will sooner rather than later.

What two words are in bold here??

You said, you expect him to replace berbatov in the pecking order. Berbatov is our second striker. Despite whether you like him or not. This is fact. Hernandez is not going to replace berbatov any time soon. You're clueless if you think so.

Oh and remember when i asked what you were basing your theories on Meg? That was me asking you what your basis for thinking berbatov was going to be replaced.

LOL funny chap, a bit of a hyprocrite too hahahhahahahahha

LOL at this i suggest you go back and read those posts in context. If you can't figure out that the 'lack of goals this season' quote is a piss take you really shouldn't bother from now on.

I really suggest you research your answers before randomly quoting me again, it makes you look stupid beyond belief.

Only rubbish story involving United this weekend:

    Milner snubs United for Liverpool.

I'd say this story has a lot too it.

News of the World is a class paper.

jose going to madrid is bad news for clubs like united
they will prob dominate the CL for the next 3 years
SAF has prob won his last one IMO
also, the spectacle last night further emphasised how we fooked up this year
united -v- inter in the final would have been a real event
SAF -v- jose would have had some build up

re transfers, we better not blow cash on that ajax clown we're being linked with
this transfer budget needs to be used wisely, very wisely
we cant afford another summer of klebs, djemba-djemba-djemba, bellion etc
