I had a friend who used work in TEAM Aer Lingus/FLS/whatever they were called that week. Said there were two schools of thought there to putting your name on your tools. The first was that if you did then no one would ever nick your stuff. But alternatively some day they might find "Micks" spanner in the wreckage of a crashed jet somewhere...

I pal of mine is a Lufthansa engineer and once found a pliers sitting inside come control box thingy on a jet engine. makes ya wonder about this whole flyin lark huh. lol

A mate of mine used to work with FLS - he pointed out that they were all supposed to use plastic torches - reason being one day someone found a metal maglite in an engine that had supposedly 'checked out' and which was on it's way to disaster! Good catch for dude who found it ... baaaad catch for 'Mick's maglite'.

Luckily, Mick is a relatively common name in the 26 ...:D

Anyone wanna make a thread so we can have a row, get it locked, report the mod and just go nuts with it.

forum is shcokingly boring and **** lately with just "airsoft stuff" ( and ****e too "ooo whose the oldest airsoft" , its rather suicidal.

We havnt had a bit of scandal in months....

I hear Andy g bribed the mod team with promises of free lessons for the spot..

    OOOOooooOOO contraversial...

Cause he sells fish down the market

The Doc is in the mood for a scrap. Nice. :D
Well folks, I'm going to start a thread running a book on the likelihood of blood on the handbags by the end of this - payment by paypal to the usual address...

    haha whats that about then?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,397 ✭✭✭MerryDespot

I believe Moggy's sig was non-compliant as they say in the tax world...

Also - Doc - if that amounts to scandal then sweet suffering jebus we're all doing something wrong.

Can't we just make some borderline defamatory crap up?

<snip> - bring this up in the airsoft forum again and you're banned - The Master

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,397 ✭✭✭MerryDespot

This is tame. Where's the madness in this off-topic madness?
Time was we'd have at least threatened to set someone on fire by now - now the best we can come up with is some guff about a sig.

    NOT CHILDISH ENOUGH!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,397 ✭✭✭MerryDespot

Have to say, it was a positive story on the six o'clock news that got me into airsoft last year. But I can't imagine any of the outlets that have been coming out with the rubbish we've seen recently actually taking the time to do a positive piece like that - easier to go for the "Oh My God He's Got A Gun" headline. Sells more chip wrappers apparently.

Fox News are at that story again though. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2010/05/06/exclusive-toy-gun-sold-easily-turned-real-thing/?test=latestnews

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,397 ✭✭✭MerryDespot

Given the portion of the political spectrum that fox represents I can't understand their issue - unless they're trying to get people to switch to real guns and ... oh, I don't know ... enlist.

What gun does Bauer use in the latest 24? The AP one.
