An important question for computer people -

Does anyone know away around this "DVD Region" carry on? I bought a DVD a few days ago, and threw it in my DVD player, and it plays fine. Then tonight I was so bold as to try and watch it on my computer, and am told that it is Region 1.

Is there an easy way of making my media player read this disc, or must I move to Australia?

I would try installing VLC player - usually plays just about anything, its easy to use and a very light program.

You can also change the region of your dvd player but not really worth if its just one DVD as you only have a certain amount of times you can change it.

Vlc almost always plays dvd's from any region, regardless of your drive setting. Just install it and go File - Open Disk.

I'll try VLC, I have a couple of DVD's from Australia that I bought home that I haven't watched in ages!

I wouldn't go to Australia if I were you

try USA for region 1 maybe
