Windows 7 Home Networking failure

    So I'm at my wits end here...
    Back when I tried out Windows 7 RC homegroup and networking worked flawlessly on my laptop and main PC.

    However since getting the full copy of Windows 7 pro on my laptop and PC I've not been able to get homegroup or anything else networking related working, a friend of mine just moved in and his laptop, also windows 7, cannot connect to either PC.

    All PC's have the same workgroup, different computer names, same subnet etc..
    I can't even get basic old fashioned sharing to work (Though I can get it working through Hamachi bizzarely)

    The only possible thing is apparently in order for homegroup to work all the clocks on the PC's must be in sync, and my laptop refuses to sync with the national time server things..

    Has anyone some helpful thoughts about what to do ?:)

    Just checking, you've set the LAN to Private not Public in NandS centre?

    I'm not entirely sure what you mean by public V private, my three options are Home Network, Work and Public network. Currently it's set to Home on all the machines.
