UPC guide menu missing?

I have a problem with my upc box. since yesterday the guide menu has vanished. when i press the guide button nothing happens. this is really frustrating since i cant record programs that are on later. can somebody tell me what's wrong and if there's a solution. i've tried rebooting the box but that didn't work.

It used to happen on our old silver box after an overnight update. Try doing a scan/search again & it should return. Think its menu- settings- network search.
