Just got a warning from Gmail to say my account has been accessed from China.

An email was sent out to everyone in my address book yesterday morning. A friend was with me when she received the email from my account on her blackberry, obviously I didnt send it.

I logged onto my account straight away and changed the password.

Can these f**kers still access my account??

    Sh!tting myself here!!

    Thanks

Standard advice here. If you used the same password anywhere else change it there also.

If you look at the bottom of the gmail page there should be a link called "details". If you follow that it'll give a breakdown of who (ip address, location and time) has accessed your account recently. At least then you'll know if they still are accessing it.

The same thing happened to me today.
I have changed my password but I am wondering how my account could have been accessed?
Is it sufficient to change my password? Can I continue to use my gmail account?
    Thanks.

I'm not an expert on this but you should probably check if your POP, IMAP and forwarding setting have been changed. By default i think all of these are disabled. Apart from changing your passwords I'm not sure what more can be done. Sorry I can't be of more help...

As mentioned above,if you use various accounts with the same login+password change them.
Its good practice to have diffrent passwords for various accounts.
