Been following Liverpool since I was knee high to a grasshopper. Lived around the corner from Jim Beglins ma. He used to play with Waterford Bohs as a young'ella. Anyway, I support them and theres fcuk all I can do about it. It's in my heart (hears a/r/tists gagging)

Man U (manure if you prefer:rolleyes:) fan here. My dad has been Man U fan since he was a kid (Liam Whelan lived around the corner), my 85 yr old Nana is still a Man U fan (only player she ever hated tho was Gordon Strachan ) I always say my Dad didn't have a son until I was 7 and my sister was 5, so we took all the football stuff on board very quickly. My dad used to manage a local team so we'd be out with him on Saturdays "helping" him to lime the pitches for the Sunday matches (where the Blanchardstown centre is now, fact fans) The very first match I remember watching was the 1979 FA cup final, I was 7 and heartbroken. My brother was born just over two weeks later, the night Forest won the European cup - and he went on to disgust my Dad and become a Forest fan. I find as a female supporter, you tend to get accused of bandwagon jumping quite a lot. People ask your fave player, expecting you to say Rooney or Giggs or even Ronaldo (cos they would be all I'd know right?) and I love the confused faces when I mention Bryan Robson  God this is a bit of a reeling in the years post isn't it? Anyway, life is made more difficult now by the fact that OH is a Liverpool fan. At our wedding, the best man said it was a mixed marriage. And now he has poisoned/persuaded my son and oldest girl in the scouse direction... I can still work on the youngest tho' mwah ha ha...

Far too modest to call myself the 12th man - bound to be one bigger fan out there. ;)

I have no real interest in soccer but my new husband is a mad liverpool fan (although I think he hates them at the moment). His mates think Im the coolest bride ever as we had 'You'll never walk alone' played at the end of our wedding cermony last week.

That is pretty cool, thing about ''You'll Never Walk Alone'' is that lyrically it's amazing. Having Marching on Together played at my wedding would be a bit weird unless we change the lyrics to ''we love you rq, rq,rq'' doesn't quite have the same ring to it....

Hope you had an amazing day after all the ash cloud related stress. :D

Ye, on justin.tv. I was sick when we went down to 10 men and then 1 down. 3 awful years, but we're UP. Hopefully Bates open the funds.
But what a season, a real rollercoaster ride.
    But thats it- WE'RE UP - PROMOTED:D:D:D:D:D

    Happy birthday! 45th , I take it?

It could be an even better weekend, if the other United lose today. :D

    Happy Birthday gerard65.

Surely as a long term supporter of Leeds United you would have experienced more glorious moments, such as the 1992 league title. Getting promoted from the 3rd tier to the 2nd tier resulting in it being the "best weekend ever" seems OTT :D:D:D:rolleyes::cool:

Today's football is painful, despite the fact that Man U are 3-0 up, Chelski are winning by 6

Didier Drogba's antics in the first half describe in a nutshell why I have fallen hugely out of love with this sport. Utterly pathetic and embarrassing! The man is 32 years of age.

What a great weekend of football :pac:

Yesterday is what football is all about, the tension in the week building up to the game. Every time you passed another Leeds fan in work you'd get the knowing nod, on Friday we were all cacking ourselves convinced we'd never do it, we're Leeds we ALWAYS screw it up. Text messages went around -

    Teams are announced:
    "that ass as captain?"

    Gradel goes manic:
    "Bloody c**t"

    They score:
    "game over :( "

    Beckford puts us 2-1 up:
    "OH JESUS!!!!"

There's three ways to do things the easy way, the hard way and the Leeds United way. I, of course, always knew we could do it - never lost faith. :D

Worst part is if I hadn't been planning on running Edinburgh and scheduling a long run for this weekend I'd have been there.

It's the long awaited all white kit that brought us the good luck in the end. Just as Don would have wanted it.

I made two savage cakes at the weekend! One was a marble cake (layers of melted dark chocolate to give the marble effect) and the other was a lemon cake!! served both with raspberries and strawberries!

    tasty!!!
