Accessing signal strenght menu on Thomson DVR

I was having problems with some BBC channels on NTL recently. An NTL tech guy called on Friday and accessed a menu which shows signal strenght for the channels. Some were below 30%. I have a Thomson Digital DVR. He told me the problem was elsewhere and said he would pass it on. Is it possible to access this menu to check…

Is it possible to access this menu to check for myself? I presume you have to enter a code to do this, anyone know what it is?

If you have the Thompson DVR (silver box), then on your remote control press Menu 1 7 8 9

This brings up a lot of info - use the down arrow to scroll through the different screens. The 7th screen gives you the signal strength and quality info.
