That is classic Em, a fooking brilliant track and now I am foaming at the mouth for Recovery.

A big plus for Recovery is no annoying accent.

Really looking forward to it now after hearing that track.

A lot different to his usual lead singles. He sounds a lot more mature and good that hes acknowledged relapse wasn't great. He's dropping some serious verses lately such as the Despicable freestyle and Airplanes 2. Really looking forward to Recovery, it could well be one of the best albums of 2010.

"Let's be honest, that last Relapse CD was "ehh"
Perhaps I ran them accents into the ground
Relax, I ain't going back to that now"

    that says it all really.

Class track from Em there. It seems everything that he has touched in the last 6 months or so has turned to gold.

Recovery has the potential to be a classic with a more mature and skilled Eminem coming to the fore. He's also saying that there are no more skits on this album which should mean more songs as a result. I for one cannot wait for the release date now.

Heres the CDQ of the track, sounds even better without the DJ

BTW if anything comes up an IQ test, there should be a box that says "skip ad", just click that

Oh yeah Ive gotta say, I doubted Boi 1da when I heard he'd be having beats on Recovery, but I'm really feeling this beat

erm? Really? people think that is good?

I'm sorry to say it but Rev Run's son Diggy Simmons is releasing better music than that.

The beat is yawn and the hook is awful (stop singing EM). Honest lyrics and great flow but it sounds like the producer put this together on his 'My-First-Casio-Keyboard".

Apologies if i sound over critical here, but we know what Eminem can do and he is not doing it at all. I can safely say that i will listen to his first few albums until i'm an old codger, but there is no way i would listen to this song down the line.

Yeah Im really liking it, compare this to his first singles off his other albums: I can safely say that for me, this sh!ts all over the likes of Without Me, Just Lose It and Crack A Bottle, and if you regard My Name Is and The Real Slim Shady as first proper singles off their respected albums, well then I think it's better than those too, and as was the case with the tracks mentioned above, this will most likely be one of the weakest tracks on Recovery

For a song intended to get radio play, it has 3 quality verses and a nice beat imo, I agree on the hook though, he needs to stop singing

"but we know what Eminem can do and he is not doing it at all" I respect your opinion Boom_Bap, but when have Em's first singles ever been a true indication of what he can do? Look at the tracks I posted above, all of them are in the bottom 3/4 tracks on the albums they featured on, if thats the case with this track well then we have a cracking album on our hands

For what it is, its great imo, and if he's spitting like this on a commercial track, I can only imagine what the other tracks on the album will sound like

I get what you're saying, but the likes of Without Me, My Name Is and The Real Slim Shady as songs where really well crafted, they may not be the best on the albums, and i cant stand them now mainly due to them being wwwaayayyyyy overplayed. But they where real attention grabbers, well crafted and when i first heard them and pretty individual.

This new one to be honest sounds production wise like what everyone else is doing, if not a few months behind what everyone else is doing which is not the sound that i think suits Em at all.

I do really hope that the new album is awesome, i really do and that this is just a blip (in my eyes :) ). But i lost a bit of optimism when i heard this. The same thing happened with Relapse and that turned out to be a weak album.

Class lyrics and back in form but mudder**** that singing!! hate that!

Tru above poster, that relapse line was excellent. Not many rappers will admit when they were wrong.

His lyricism is unparalleled in fairness. I'm looking forward to this album now that he's cut the weird accent etc. Seems more focussed. Don't mind the singing on that track either.

I don't think this is a single from the album, is it? I reckon it's just a pre-album promo track.

I think it's promising that he atleast admits that most of relapse was **** and the accents were annoying so he won't be doing them anymore.

I hated his last few albums besides a few tracks but I'm hoping the next one is decant.

The La Coka labum was such a ****ing let down. After That's Coke was dropped I thought it'd be good, but it was mad rushed and the features are pretty ****. The album version of the That's coke beat was MUCK, ruined the song.
The whole album has 1 good song, F*ck Tony Montana and if you get the origional mix of That's coke and deleted the album version you get 2 good songs.

in my opinion everlast has more talent then emeinem in his little finger.
he has awsome solo material hes irish american his work is far more mature than eminem.everlast is far more relative to me than eminem whining about his mother and ****. hes gone so off the beaten track hes rnb in my opinion which doesnt appeal to me.
la coka have just started, yes the album wasnt up to par but atleast it was harcore hip hop. house of pains first album was off the hook the production was super. when i first heard of eminem i thought great a decent white mc but as the money started rolling in he sold out to make rnb music. everlast is underground and will be around in ten years time eminem will not.

Well why don't you just start a thread on Everlast instead of randomly hijacking the discussion on Eminem?

PrettyBoy - If you are not happy with any posts, use the report post option.
lexluther is only a few posts in on boards so let's be polite.

This thread is for discussion on Eminems new single, so let's try to keep it on that topic, please feel free to create a new thread on Coka Nostra/Everlast.

I'm loving it right now. Can't say i like the singing but it's head and shoulders above anything from Relapse imo

Except beautiful in my opinion, which is the best song on Relapse.

He disses someone at the start of the 2nd verse;who is it? Is it Lil Wayne? I know that wouldn't really make sense but i'm not sure who else it could be

For that **** your feelings, instead of getting crowned you're getting capped"

Seems like a diss, guess i could be wrong though.

Eminem has never been subliminal when dissing someone, sure he released 2 songs with Wayne recently so hardly going to turn around and diss him. In that last verse he says beefing is behind him anyway so i think you are reading too much into it.

Ya lads, its not as much a diss, just a play on words.

He pronounces feelings like fillings so the below line has more to do with teeth.

For that **** your feelings, instead of getting crowned you're getting capped"
