Volvo S80 T6 - smidge under 2000RPM @ 120KPH. Only 4 gears LOL, pulls about 84 in 2nd before it changes up to third. Cant remember what it pulls at the top of third and I'll need a pretty clear road to find out, its well past 200 for sure.

LOL, someone was gonna ask me that. It's a 4-speed ZF autobox (same box as the one used in the W126 Mercedes S-class of the 80s) and according to the manual, it changes from 3rd to 4th gear at 199km/h. So I was exaggerating slightly for dramatic effect, although the indicated speed is just above 200km/h. I have tried it :)

Well you had a good point ;)

The first series 928 (mine's a second series) indeed had a 3-speed autobox. And the vast majority of 928s ever sold were auto (3 or 4 speed) and not the manual 5 speed.

    You sure that's not a 3 speed + overdrive in the 2nd series? ;)

    Very nice :D

BTW you weren't going downhill now, were you? :p

What car is it? No offence but the dash doesn't look like it belongs to one of the class topping cars on this thread in terms of low rpms at 120km/h - mostly V8 petrols ;):D

About 3800 I think, somewhere in the upper 3000s anyway. 1.4 Skoda Fabia, 5 gears.
The engine starts sounding a bit strained at 80mph exactly so it's handy for keeping to speed limits, if I moved to Germany I'd be sickened with it.
