    Hi Guys,

Myself and a mate will be moving up to Dublin from the sticks this June, one of us will be working in Clontarf and the other out in Sandyford. We're hoping to live somewhere around Rathmines/Ranelagh/Ballsbridge kind of area. Anyway my question is, does any bus route pass through Rathmines/Ranelagh area and go as far as Clontarf or would we have to get to Abbey street to get a bus to Clontarf/Connolly for the Dart?

Any help would be massively appreciated!

Do you need a bus to Sandyford as well?

You might be able to work it so you are within walking distance of the dart and the Luas if you move to the Mespil Road area. kind of between Grand Canal and Charlemont

Donnybrook or Ballsbridge would be the ideal place because it is near the Dart station which serves Clontarf and 47 goes from Donnybrook to the Sandyford industrial estate.

    Thanks for your replies folks

@Fratton Fred, hoping to be near the Luas so won't be needing the bus but thanks for the help!

@Unknown13, We've been looking at Donnybrook and Ballsbridge, rents seem quite high there though! You're right they'd be ideal locations given their proximity to the Dart line.
