Go on Flah... Tell us how you think that Vidic is in the decline

Haha, already put my hands up and admitted he was immense. Think twas in the matchthread.

I'm actually taking full credit for his recent brilliance, he's really upped his game since I spoke up.:pac:

Scholesy and Neville really played their hearts out today, after all the criticism they've received in the last few weeks they really proved their doubters wrong in the best possible manner today

Bit off-topic but I can see Gibson featuring more regularly next season, probably at the expense of Carrick.

god im not sure am I alone in thinking this but I thought he was ****e today, amount of times he gave the ball away, add to the fact none stop shooting

    got very tiring

Agreed I thought he was quite poor. He still has shown nothing except being a good striker of the ball for me.

Oh, no doubt he wasn't great today. But Fergie tends to have faith in his younger players. His start today and against Bayern show that (his recent talking up of him too).

Tbh I wouldn't be surprised if he turned into a very good player. His passing isn't great, but he offers more physicality and more of a goalscoring threat than a player like Carrick does.

Won't be hard, as hopefully Carrick won't be around next season!

    True.

    Poor today.

Great strike of the ball but he is a very average midfielder.

Himself and Giggs were definitely the 2 worst United players today.

    Delighted with the winner.

Hope Spurs can do us a favour.

But if United are going to stick with a 4-5-1 you don't really need outstanding players in the centre necessarily. You'd need a creative spark, which United lack at the moment, but you also need players like Fletcher and - imo - Gibson who have a bit of industry and are capable both offensively and defensively.

He offers something a little different to Fletcher, and tbh I think people are being a little harsh on him considering the amount of gametime he's had / lack of consecutive games.

Its actually hilarious to think United have beaten City three times in huge games with last gasp winners.

    Love it.

I'd love to see a picture of that sign the City fans had in the crowd. It was something like
    'It's Not Over' - Fergie

    - It is Now

    :D
