Monzo my favourite album's are The Life Pursuit and Tigermilk. Most people don't seem to like Tigermilk though. The Boy With the Arab Strap's a good album too.

Silent Alarm is terrific start to finish. Weekend in the City less so, to a degree that's made Silent Alarm a bit more overlooked now than it deserves to be.

I never really understood the vitriol aimed at A Weekend in the City, depending on mood I sometimes even prefer it to Silent Alarm. It's all a bit earnest and preachy, but there's some really good stuff on it like Sunday and Kreuzberg, and I think Disappear Here is a pretty cracking opener.

Though I do seem to be in the minority on that point, so Silent Alarm probably is a better place to start
