Everytime I think about it I shudder. The excitement of preparing to go to a soccer match...the nervousness as you see the crowd levels rising. The fear and panic as you become trapped and suffocate. All because of someone's stupidity. All football fans should make sure this date and those people are never forgotten. RIP

Lads, it doesn't matter who you support or even if you support football at all. This was a tragedy that affected a lot of people at the time and still does to this day.

If you aren't willing to show a bit of class and be respectful in this thread then don't bother posting.

I remember some labour councillor gave an address at memorial at Anfield last year and he was roundly booed by a section of liverpool supporters. And it was brilliant in a way because it showed that they were still so focused in getting justice for the 96 and felt that the 96 had been forgotten by the establishment.
    Let them never be forgotten.

Its crazy to think that 96 people who went to see a football match never came home,we can only begin to imagine what the famalies are going through 21 years on and still no Justice has been done

    They Will Never Walk Alone

Liverpool fan or not, this is an event that was truly a case of "There but for the grace of God go I", and all football fans should always be respectful and sympathetic to this tragic event.

This tragedy could have happened to any group of supporters, from any club. It was a heartbreaking event for those who were there and for those who were left behind following the tragic deaths of the 96.

These 96 were not (as a certain rag newspaper would have you believe) hooligans, nor were they thugs; they were like any one of us. They were football fans who were going to a game to support their team. They were 96 innocent people who went out for the day to enjoy a game of football and horrifically and tragically never came back.
