I frequent this board a lot, but there are people here that I know and for that reason I decided to post this anonymously.
Basically, when I went to college I was pretty much the first person to come out in my group of friends and soon after discovered that 80% of my friends were also LGBT (lol). However, I'm no longer there (I dropped out) and since have found it extremely difficult to talk to, meet and even FIND LGBT people. I'm now in Waterford. What do?

    There's some helpful resources here

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
