You're assuming people know what the American system is.

I don't, and you may get inaccurate answers depending on who replies.

It's called GPA over here (Grade Point Average). They're both ranked to 0-4 anyway so I don't think there's much conversion needed if it's just for comparison, bragging rights, job app etc. If it's for something more important such as an application to a foreign University I would use your actual results (A,B,C etc.) rather than your QCA.
