    Who would take Berbatov?

Juve love wasting money on overpriced players?

Loui Van Gaal said himself this week Berbatov a player he tried to sign before. They should have some money in the summer once they sell Ribery but probably be lucky to get half for what we paid considering he is 30yrs old.

If we were to sell berbatov, I reckon there would be interest in Spain and Italy for him, based on his style. I would prefer to keep him - I'd prefer Berbs on the bench to Owen.

Can see Berbatov and Macheda going to be sold.

There's no point having Berba - simple as that. We aren't going to change to 4-4-2 anytime soon and he just doesn't fit into 4-5-1 IMO. If we got a third of what we spend on him, we'd be doing well given his age and his 'perceived' performances. It's case of "it's not you, it's me" as far as United are concerned. He's a talented lad but he's wasted without a strike partner.

Also, there's a lot of interest from abroad for Macheda. Italian clubs are sniffing around if reports are to be believed and Fergie might see it as the right time to sell him. Hasn't performed in the reserves as he probably should for a guy rated as one of the best young strikers around.

Are you aware that he's been injured for pretty much the entire season?

he hasn't played in the reserves in order to perform! He came from injury to play 1 game in the reserves, got injured again and was brought straig back into first team.

I would say Fergie would stick with Kiko ahead of Diouf and Welbeck, I would say Welbeck is the most likely to be sold from that group.

I knew that, but before that I didn't think he stood out in reserve games.

I know he's very young but you have to be standing out at that level and scoring regularly.

Every time I hear his name I'm going to think of Chickatees

    WHAT?

He was scoring for fun last year in the reserves. lol Which of his hat-tricks were you unimpressed by?

He was banging them in, earned a first team call up and scored 2 winners in 2 weeks. Started this season as a first team player and has been injured for most of it.

Stop talking out of your arse.

    Before that like when?

He was class for the reserves last year - that's how he ended up in the squad for the Aston Villa game.

    EDIT:

You should really just admit you didn't know he was injured and let this one go ;)

    lol'd :)

Kiko or Diouf wont be sold. SAF only said himself kiko was one the best young strikers he has seeing at his time at Manutd, Injurys this season have held him back but next season he should get more of chance.

Its either Owen or Berbatov for me.

An introduction to United's 21-year-old strike acquisition Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez...

    Where's he from?
Hernandez currently plies his trade with Chivas de Guadalajara in Mexico's Primera Division. Chivas are the most successful team in Mexican history with 11 titles. Having been at the club since the age of nine, Javier scored within five minutes of making his first-team debut, in a 4-0 win over Necaxa in 2006, and helped his side win the title that season.

    What's his record?
Pretty impressive. He's scored 21 goals in 28 appearances for Chivas this term and has netted four times in as many games for Mexico. At 5ft 9in, he's not the biggest striker in the world, but he's quick and certainly knows his way to goal.

Where does his nickname come from?
Javier is commonly known in his homeland as 'Chicharito', meaning 'little pea', in reference to his green eyes. He received the moniker as he's the son of Chivas legend Javier 'Chicharo' Hernandez, himself a top Mexican striker who played in the 1986 World Cup.

When can we see him in action for the Reds?
Not until he has received a work permit. If that is granted, Javier will join United officially on 1 July and could make his debut in a pre-season friendly against Chivas in Guadalajara.

    And he'll play?

What are Mexico's striking options like?

Not too well up on the Mexico national team but i would assume Carlos Vela from Arsenal will be also included.

I'd say one of the reasons we signed him so early is that if he plays, and plays well, his price will inflate and competition for his signature will increase.

Same with Smalling, there were other clubs looking at him so we signed him as soon as we could.

Would love to see him play a few games alright.

Anyone seen much of Smalling by the way? What is he like?

Hopefully that's the case alright - a new striker is always exciting...

what is surprising is how quietly this transfer was done.

The guy did his medical yesterday and there were absolutely no whispers (that I heard anyway) that there was even any interest in him.

    Interesting.

so would you agree then that if Fergie doesn't make a significant investment in 2 or 3 players this summer that he may be telling porkies about having the Ronaldo money available to him?

    re. smalling.

Not been impressed with him at all from what I have seen. He always seems to either be at fault or quite culpable for goals they concede.

He has the physique and pace - but he isn't a clever defender imo. He gets caught out positionally. this is, however, quite understandable considering he was playing non-league football up to quite recently. there are younger defenders who can look better, but they will have had the benifit of training at top clubs.

For me, he is a very raw player who has a lot to learn. Playing and training with (hopefully) Rio and Vidic will help him a lot though i feel.

I certainly don't think he will be truly pushing for a first team place next season - I would say Evans is better then him for now anyway too.

As i posted a few pages back, i was told by a friend of mine from Mexico, he has come out of nowhere to become the fans #1 choice Mexican striker.

Their options are Cuathehemoc Blanco who is in the twighlight of his career, Carlos Vela of Arsenal, some other guy who has been injured all season and our lad.

My friend says it will be Vela and Hernandez up front, as in recent friendlies the coach has kept those two on the bench, Mexico have failed to score, they come on and the goals come. He has 4 in 4 for Mexico.

Cant wait to get a look at him on the World's biggest stage.

I'd love to know how much Javier Hernandez has cost Manutd? Alot people say we have no money and that all started when we pulled out from signing Adam Lalic.
