    Hi

I am with UPC about 6 months and am going to switch to Freesat (still have sky dish on side of house). So my question is can I downgrade to phone and broadband without any penalties or is it the sky situation with a 1 year contract?

    Thanks
    V4

Well if you get just Phone and Broadband you will need to pay €8 per month extra.

OK I rang UPC and they want €100 cancellation charge from me!
    Is that correct?
I am with them about 7 months.

Im with UPC a while, so cancelation costs arent an issue, BUT you say that its €8 more to have phone and broadband that the phone and broadband + TV ?

That doesnt make alot of sense.

edit : Unless you mean this

"Price shown is when added to an existing TV connection. Otherwise a Fibre Power Broadband Standalone Charge of €7.75 a month applies. "

About the cancelation, €100 - this will be a fixed penalty, its to cover thier costs of the setup.
