Yup it comes in different names but it's all the same stuff :)

    'Stain Block'.
    'Block that stain'

It's usually an aerosol can and can be bought in B&Q, Homebase etc.

For got to say, sometimes you need more than one coat of it before painting over with regular paint. Depends on the stain in my (limited) experience :)

can you apply to all over the wall or is it designed just for problem areas i.e at corners where the paint may have blistered due to dampness etc.

if only to a certain areas does the finish look different to the area where stain buster isnt applied

    Thanks!

I'm sure you could apply it to a whole wall if you wanted but if you don't need to then I'm not sure there's any point.

We only did patches on the wall where water had come through from the outside. We were painting the wall white anyway so it blended right in...I recommend that you spray the are and then when it dries, paint the area and a nearby untreated area with a coat of paint. Wait until they dry and look to see if there is any difference.

Not much help but I'm no expert :)
