    anyone know any tips or ideas to lessen the redness of psoriasis?

    The reason for this is that often the advice you get from the internet can be very wrong or just not suitable for your condition.

    Regarding steroid creams, regular use of powerful steroids can thin the epidermis on the face, which is already the thinnest skin on the body so is not recommended for long-term use. Your doctor would know this and therefore control your use of the creams. Please don't follow any of the advice you have received so far no matter how well intentioned. Talk to your doctor and ask him/her the question.
