    Hi Guys.

I have just recently got upgraded to the digital+ hd service box on upc, I think the box is a cisco.

Is it possible to hook up a dvd recorder and record something from the digital stations?

The hd box is hooked up to the tv with a hdmi cable anda normal tv lead going into the back of the tv.

There are numerous free hdmi /scart sockets.

    Cheers.

If its a blu-ray dvd rec player you'll need another hdmi cable. other than that just hook up your scart from the dvd rec to the tv as you would usually do.

Now ive a question for you sir,
im thinking of getting the Chorus + HD as an extra box in one of the bedrooms, how much did it cost you to upgrade and did you get it in more than one box?

    Cheers

An extra HD+ plus box will cost €10 a month and is free to install if ordered online. A €50 connection fee will apply if they need to install a TV point in the room though.

Great stuff, i have a blue ray player hooked up which is seperate, but plenty of scart leads for the dvd recorder, i wasnt sure if by just plugging in a scart lead straight into the tv it would record analogue only and not the digital signal.

One room, 110 connection fee as there was no upc signal box there and 5 euro a month.

Think it was 70 connection fee and 10 euro a month if you just went for the digital box without +.

Went to order online first but seemed to get lost in a black hole.

Rang them up on the friday morning they came out wed morning on time,no problems.

You cannot have both a HDMI and Scart cable hooked up at once to the HD Box.

If I want to record a DVD I have to remove the HDMI cable, other wise I get no picture.

If you have Blue Ray I'm sure you can hook up the HDMI cable straight between the Blue Ray & the HD box.
