I like bridges

Prove yourself as the best tactician and outsmart your opponent in this mind-challenging and fun to play game! We know you just will not be able to quit playing this game!

1. Each player chooses color of sticks

2. The players draw a lot to determine who will start first

3. The game may start at any position of the playfield

4. The players in turns connect pairs of adjacent diamonds with their sticks vertically and horizontally: the first player connects the red diamonds with red sticks and the second player uses the blue sticks to connect the blue diamonds (see the picture)

5. The objective of each player is to connect any of the diamonds of his color on one side with any of the diamonds on the opposite side of the playfield with a continuous, randomly curved line. One player connects the left with the right side of the playfield, while the other player connects the top with the bottom side.

6. The paths of the players may not intersect and sticks cannot be laid on top of one another

7. The first player to make a bridge between the two sides of his/her playfield wins the game.

The first way was attacking the resources themselves.
When they conquered territory, they took as much as they could.
This not only gave them more food, it prevented it from falling into their opponent's hands.

This strategy backfired in Gaul, where Vercingetorix employed a scorched earth tactic,
whereby burning crops and taking livestock when he retreated, he left the Romans nothing to take.

He was eventually foiled when Caesar ordered his troops to cross the Liore river.
Vercingetorix had thought the river impassable, and had not bothered to destroy any of the crops on the other side,
so the Romans were able to re-supply and continue their campaign.
