    Hi all,
My oh has been unemployed since Feb 2008, he's currently training with FAS. He has some med expenses for xrays and a medicals that were not covered under the doctor visit card he has, the total is €950 since early 2008. Can he claim that back with the Med 1? Any help would be appreciated! We are cohabiting and not married so I can't claim for him (or can I)?

He could make a claim using a MED1 for 2008, however he may not have paid any tax and may have gotten a refund already of any amount that he did pay.

As for you claiming: The question that needs to be asked here is "did you pay for them?". If so, then you can claim medical expenses relief for any medical bills that you paid.If not, then you may not claim them.

thanks maddogcollins, the money would have come from my bank account, and he's not named on it so I think I will put in the claim for the full amount, I have all the receipts and bank statements ready to go if they need them.
