    Hoya make decent filters for a nice price, the .75 probably refers to the thickness of the plastic/metal part around the glass, the slimmer it is the less vignetting you have when using/stacking multiple filters together.

    any filter thats says 58mm will fit, each manufacturer/brand use a standard thread size, you can also use a 58mm filter on a 52mm lens with a cheap adaptor that doesnt effect the image quality(any filter that has a bigger diameter than the lens can be used with an adaptor)
