Downconverter Power?

Hi, I'm going tearing out a cupboard where my chorus stb is kept. I want to disconnect it and move it to keep it from getting damaged. Should I unplug the power feeding the aerial before unscrewing the cable from the back of the stb? Will I blow the downconverter if I don't? Also, does it matter how long the box is left…

You should ALWAYS unplug stuff from the mains before attaching or removing cables, for safety's sake. So yes, do unplug it.
