    BA has posted some info about flights. I just checked for the 20th and the flight to Phoenix is cancelled, although that is one of the strike dates.

    the strip is really long though, 5 miles from mandalay bay to the stratosphere so walking from say caesars palace (mid strip) to the sign will take you a while

    We stayed at the Mandalay Bay in February, it was a 15 minute walk from there.

    Would recommend you to use the DEUCE bus if you stay somewhere on the strip, there is a stop right across from the welcome sign, the stop is called Bali Hai Golf Club :)

    Couple questions for you guys.

    1) For you "WrestleMania veterans" that post in this thread, do you have any advice on how someone can make the absolute MOST of their WrestleMania trip? This is my first WrestleMania ever and I don't want to waste 1 minute- not 1 second!

    2) Any post-WrestleMania and/or pre or post-Monday Night Raw shindigs or get-togethers planned? Where are the best places to "live it up" in downtown Phoenix/Glendale? Alice Cooper's Restaurant looks interesting... (http://www.alicecooperstown.com/)

    3) For WrestleMania Axxess, how long does it take to "take it all in"? 2 hours? 4 hours...? I'm going to the Sat. night session (I'll get to meet... MVP.. and Kane... yay :rolleyes:)

    4) Anyone know the latest ticket sales # for WrestleMania? I really hope there's 72,000+ in there, but... you can still buy $750.00 seats on TicketMaster. The card this year is incredible (perhaps the best card since WM19)... shouldn't the place have sold out weeks ago?

    5) Where are the celebrities? No performance by AC/DC (Thunderstruck) and/or Kevin Rudolf? Did WWE intentionally ditch the concept of celebrities or high-profile bands at this year's WM to fit in more matches? Not a huge deal but still worth noting...

    P.S. Here's a very cool clip of the GM of the University Of Phoenix Stadium being interviewed about WrestleMania... I believe this clip is very recent and he talks about all the planning that's done for an event of this magnitude... the U. of Phoenix reps were at the last 2 WrestleMania's to get ideas & see how everything works. Unbelievable how much planning goes into a WrestleMania!

    Looks like we are screwed coming back on the tuesday, from the BA website a lot of the longhaul flights I thought would be running for the weekend are cancelled, (to LAX/SFO) and all the phoenix flights leading up to the tuesday are cancelled as well. My guess is that the same flights will be cancelled for the second strike meaning that there wont be a plane in Phoenix to bring us back on the tuesday even if that route was running. Will wait and see, not going to do anything just yet.

    1) Dont waste time would be my advice, no sense in lazing around in the hotel when you can be out doing stuff-get to the shows early to soak up the atmosphere and get in the arena early. Especially for Wrestlemania itself, head up as early as you can to the arena. Buy all your merchandise at Axxess or at RAW/HOF, the queues at Mania are just crazy in comparison.

    3) For Axxess, probably 1 good look around would take maybe 2 hours, then add on any queing time fot the autographs etc. By the way its very unlikely you will get to meet the main 2 stars advertised for the Axxess show, last year it was advertised the same and they only did interviews in the ring.

    4) It was the same for Mania24, you could still buy tickets up until the day fo the event but I didnt see any empty floor seats while we were there.

    5)Theres enough ''celebs'' on Raw these days......I imagine there will be the usual celebs in the crowd and 1 or 2 involved backstage. Plus they need someone to sing America the Beautiful.

    Ya, its pretty weak at the moment. XE.com has euro to dollar at 1.37 yesterday but the banks only have 1.31-1.33.

    Ill be changing mine over on thursday.

    As for dollars, mine arrived on Saturday thanks to Brolly's reccomendation of Crown Currency. Was very happy with my $1000 for £600 :) Ordered them back in mid January.

    As far as I can see that flight has been cancelled, there wouldnt be an ircraft to take you home we are rebooking customers via DFW with AA then BA flight from there.

    Gonna be busy today. Going to get some dollars from the bank, have to check in my flight to London and do some shopping. My order from WWE is still pending verification for some reason. It better arrive before next Wednesday.

    Just wondering, who are you flying with? thought it was continental? just wondering as I am aswell...do you have to check in before you arrive? :S this whole online check in is slightly confusing.

    Id do it pronto mate, most of the flight availability is going fast and we have a lot of customers calling in at the moment as everyone has been sent email/text etc!! LEt me know ill be here for a while.

    Any idea if BA0289 to Phoenix from Heathrow will be running on the 26th?

    Also, BA0274 from Las Vegas to London on April 2nd?

    Although if the outgoing flight isn't running, there won't be much need to worry about the incoming.

    Unite has expressed a desire to meet with BA again reports on the net are claiming, saying if BA reoffer their last package they will meet again. To me that seems as if Unite are looking for a way to pull out of actually striking (considering that theyve done enough damage already.)
