You might say different if you lived here...we could supply the rest of the World with water as it rains that much!!!:P:pac:

We don't get much rain, but we get double servings of snow. We had about 8-10 inches fall last week. I mean this is March, about time when things are breaking up and we get nearly a foot of snowfall.

Ah well, few more months and then fishing season starts. :):):)

You guys still have it easy. It was 4 degrees (Fahrenheit) here yesterday, it's up to a blistering hot 20 degrees right now. Our winter temps are ****ed. We had one day where it was -20 degrees, then the next day it was +20. So 40 degree difference in temp in a 24 hour time span.

its the irish way to moan :D brolly is from donegal i believe, it gets wild there on the atlantic coast, i used to spend my summers as a child up there

we are lucky though; ireland is the same latitude (53 degrees north) as places like edmonton in canada and southern alaska; never in a million years would we experience anything like the temperatures in those places in winter though, it rarely snows here, rarely goes much below freezing, 20 degrees here (-7C) would be considered a really really cold day. i remember me and a group were in chicago in january couple of years back it was something like -5 (-20C) with windchill bringing it to -13 (-25c), that was mad, now i cannot imagine what -20 or -30F is like

on the flip side we don't get summers, anything above 60 degrees (16c) would be seen as a heatwave :p

We arrive on the 25th. The Liverpool game kicks off at 4pm GMT which is 9am in Phoenix. We might be lucky and get to see it in the hotel. It should be on Fox Soccer, i hope.

I planned doing 'Baby's steak and lemonade' and 'Matt's big Breakfast', and I have just found Uncle Sam's that looks reaaly good, and Pizzeria Bianco claiming to be The BEST pizza in the world! It seems to be overcrowded but I'd love to try :)

I'll be eating wherever looks ok and is convenient, that's if I have time at all with the amount we've got on, I wouldn't really go out of my way to go to a particular restaurant or anything

In Houston I had a one chocolate bar and half a McDonalds over a 4 day period. Couldn't find anywhere to have anything.

got a special offer from lexington the other day $62 for the room per night so i moved our group in there, saving nearly $75 a room over the 4 day period compared to the motel we were booked into and we had 5 rooms booked so thats a decent saving

really hope its ok, the motel was 3rd rated place in the whole of phoenix and it was closer to town

The way this season is going missing the first half might not be so bad.

I've read some pretty good reviews of the Lexington recently, should be good. What kind room were you offered for that price? I booked a twin queen room for $99 a night.

You might regret saying that. It would be typical Liverpool to beat United again and then lose to Sunderland the next week.

all of them were offered and all same price, i booked 5 queen delux rooms, add in tax works out about $290 per room for the 4 nights, which while not great is still by far the cheapest i have seen in central phoenix during mania week
