    id be surprised if its a 0-0 game, but id take the hand off someone who offered it!

    Pato being included is kinda a meh point to me, i think we need a goal, if we score the tie is over imo.

    cannot see how Milan would score 3 at OT, if they do they deserve to go through, we dont if we conceed 3

    Well they were dominating us in the first leg. Scored two and should have four or five. So that's how they'd score three.

    Lol, the last 100 posts or so have been really fun to read!!

    We have a huge game on Wed - how bout we focus on that just for now (this is not a head in the sand job btw).

    Rooney has to play. I think we'll be pretty fooked without him, even with a goal lead from the first leg. Also, has to be 5 in the midfield. Its been tried and tested for us in Europe and we get results on the back of it. I also dont trust Berba up top on his own, simply cause he wont stay up front.

    Who is going to play CM? Scholesy (who played the full 90 at the weekend), Fletch and ....?

    Im both worried and excited about the match.

    You need to look a lot closer at last years financial results and see the reasons why we made a profit. Constant borrowing to buy players is not the right way to do things. As has been said so many times, we were profitable without the glazers and funded transfers through profits made, not borrowings.

    maybe you should read what i posted then?

    i said i dont think they will do it at OT, and to answer you directly, yes, maybe they could have scored 4-5 but they didnt, they scored 2 and conceeded 3 in milan

    "so thats how they'd score three" doesnt exactly wash when they havent scored three against us when they were at home
    and dominating as you say

    i thought we were pretty confortable myself, but we switched off at the back and that allowed them to score the second

    at home, with the OT crowd, i will be amazed if they score 3, how many teams have come to OT recently and scored 3? Barca were there and didnt score at all sure, and they are renowned as the greatest attacking side on the planet

    plus like i said, if they score 3 they deserves to go through, for me its just important that we score and make them have to score 3

    Fergie is complaining about the amount of time Rooney played, not that he played. Rooney should have been taken off after 60, like other players were. Capello should not have played him for near 90 minutes.
    It's all the same imo. Players want to play in international games, managers don't like it. In this case Fergie doesn't have a leg to stand on imo.

    Nobody's answered any of the questions re these take over groups but heres another one . Why are these astute business men bidding billions to buy the club if there is no chance of them making a profit on their investment?

    same reason Abramovic and the City fellas have. They aren't going to make any money of those 'investments', but they bought them anyway cause they wanted to own a club fighting at the top.

    the midfield for the match wednesday is what i am most concerned about, i have faith in Berba if he is called on to do a job and is tolod in no uncertain terms by Fergie that he is sto stay up top and provide the option

    Gibson might play, Fletch certainly and id expect him to be putting it about a bit considering he was totally redted against Wolves

    Neville will now probably play (unless Raf is fit) so that provides a problem down that side when it comes to pace

    my midfield is

    Valencia----Fletch
    Scholes
    Gibson
    Park

    or possibly park on the right and nani on the left to compenate for Neville if he plays

    Kind of the point I was making last week, no one should kid themselves these guys are solely in for there love of United. They will want to make money, and it will probably be better than the status quo, but until I here for definite what way it is going to work I am reserving judgement.

    AC Milan squad:

    Goalkeepers: Abbiati, Dida, Roma;
    Defence: Abate, Antonini, Bonera Favalli, Jankulovski, Nesta, Thiago Silva, Zambrotta;
    Midfield: Ambrosini, Beckham, Flamini, Gattuso, Pirlo, Seedorf;
    Attack: Borriello, Huntelaar, Inzaghi, Pato, Ronaldinho

    expect Borriello to play instead of Huntelaar now he is fit.

    Look, man, realistically, I don't expect them to put three past us either, but I'm not hugely confident. I think we'll win the game, but I'd not be surprised if we didn't either. They've a fairly competent squad, and in reality, their only real weakness is that they could do with a bit more speed in defence and attack, and a new keeper.

    They can play very very good football, and showed they've more than enough to deceive us and fashion chances against us.

    Anyway, conceding three in OT would be unlikely, but let's not forget how they did in the Bernabeu.

    Yeah, is it 100 for United or just 100 in general (having at some point played for United)?

    I don't think there are 8 United players to have scored 100 in the prem (for United). The 5 I listed are the only ones I think to have done it.

    2nd one - question was phrased delibrately :p

    van only has 95 PL goals

    There isn't 8 players to have scored 100 prem goals for man utd.

    My list is correct tbh

    first one - question was phrased delibrately :p

    van only has 95 PL goals

    well then I look forward to the answer cause it has me stumped. If Ruud didn't manage it then I am down to 4 that I believe have done. Can't think who the other 3 could be.

    You sure it is 100 prem goals - I really don't think 8 united players have done that.

    Scholesy was the 8th player to play for UTD score 100 PL goals, name the others

    Scholes was the 9th player to play for United and hit 100 PL goals actually.
    Giggs, Scholes, Yorke, Cole, Sheringham, Rooney, Dublin, Owen and Saha.

    saha wasn't in the list I saw (he has 101 by wikipedia for what its worth) , Ruud has only 95 0- rest are correct
