    What's Botwars? Sounds like fun

Botwars is an intervarsity competition being organised by NUIG. There are two different contests in it. One involves building a robot and battling it against other robots and the other is the design, build, code contest. You're given a Lego NXT robot and starter code and have to program the robot to perform a given task.

There's also a games room, Metal Gear Solid drama production, movie room and LAN. Redbrick and Gamessoc are heading along to it. If you're interested you can contact the committees. At the moment the trip is booked up but if you're a member we can put you on a standby list as one of the guys isn't sure if he can make it. We're heading to Galway on the Friday (12th March) and coming back on Sunday (14th March).

What exactly will the Ubuntu Ireland talk involve?
Is it just on the community in Ireland?

You can join for 2 euros if you want to join.

Thusspakeblixa : it will be about the community and how to get involved in projects here, eg. Writing code, localisation etc.

If I did join could I be put on the standby list?
