Cold call asking about computer speed.

    Hi,

    Feel free to move this is in an incorrect fourm.

    Recently my parents have been receiving cold calls with broken english asking if their PC is running slow. They have ignored the calls and not reacted to them, however i a little concerned as to where these are coming from.

    I recently removed spyware from my parents PC at home. May be a complete coincidence but wondering if there was a link and how they got my parents number.

    Has anybody else any experience of this and how to prevent these calls?

    Same thing happening in our area.. Dont think there is anything you can do apart from hanging up & giving no information unfortunately
