Good to see the lads in the BBC studio having a laugh at themselves.

He stopped his run to avoid being smashed by the lunge that was never getting the ball. Good call imo
No he didn't, he had played the ball and jumped over the player then dragged his foot, still missed the player and fell down. If it was any number of other players people would be only too happy to call dive. Ref has been very pro united this half. Vidic should have walked, loads of yellows for Villa when Man U players getting away with almost exactly the same challenges. Anyway, it is a decent game, end to end and both teaams look up for it.

    Owen's hamstring again?

Used to have that injury every couple of months for Liverpool

If United do go on to win, Dowd should get a medal too.

Id agree ref has een pro United but from d angle I saw it looked like he tried to avoid the challenge...

Carrick was fouled. Get over it. United should have had a penalty too anyway.

Wait there, was Vidic not even booked for that penalty?

Nope. Not even a yellow. Nada.

Ah I don't know. Ref's are becoming increasingly retarded it would seem.

He bottled it. Plain and simple. An absolute joke.

Some daft refereeing in that first half. Tbh, I'm glad Vidic wasn't sent off as it would have fairly spoiled the game, but he should have walked.

Villa really lost their early steam. Bit disappointing how they've let United control the game towards the end of the second half. They really lack a playmaker in their midfield.

Vidic should have got red, but so should collins. I don't know if cuellar was on a yellow when he hacked evra but that was as bad as evra's foul on young just after. The ref is making a hash of this game with lack of consistancy. Villa are looking dangerous

I think Carrick should have went the wu he was shaping to go. Good effort though.

*think I got a bit sick in my mouth saying that*
