I currently have UPC TV (digital + standard definition) and Eircom phone and broadband.

If I order one of these UPC bundles what is involved in the changeover?

1 Does everything then run through the UPC cable?
2 How does my phone hook up (I've several phone points in the house)
3 How does the broadband connect/work (I have my own router)
4 Does HD TV require any re-cabling through the house or just to the box on the fascia outside. Will other the rooms I've split the cable to still work?

    Replies appreciated

    Thanks,
The cable comes into the house and goes to the new UPC box like before, I presume.
How does the broadband modem interface with the UPC cable/box?
What make/model is the broadband modem, Does it have a standard RJ11 phone jack on it or how does the phone(s) connect in?

yes the cable comes into the house and into the upc box

they will put in a new cable the same as the one for tv for the broadband modem.

the broadband modem is a cable modem not like a dsl modem it connects to the upc cable

as far as i know there are two modems that upc have a Scientific Atlanta (just a modem) one and a cisco one (modem and router combo)

yes there is a standard RJ11 phone jack on it

Just to get this straight, are you saying there will be a second cable coming into the house from the fascia or do they split the existing cable at the wall socket in the living room - one to the TV box, one to the modem??
