Faulty UPC HD Box

    Got UPC HD installed 2day, unfortunately I have a problem. When I turn the settings on the upc box up to 1080i or auto I get a faint grey line on the right hand side of the screen, the picture is amazing but the line is obviously a pain. Anyone with experience of this? It's not the TV as I use 1080i with no problems on Freesat.

    Hopefully they will swap the box when they come out on tuesday.

    It is a software issue on all the HD boxes switch to 720P.

    did u get that line? I find 1080i looks better on BBCHD (I have a freesat box), it looks a lot better than the 720P on the UPC box.

    Besides this issue I'm very happy with the EPG etc, its a heck of an improvement over previous efforts from UPC.

    Yes I get the line in 1080i on my two HD boxes and I have a friend who gets the line of 1080i also.

    For the time being I would suggest you switch to 720P.

    A call out will not help you it is a software issue on all HD boxes.

    I find 720p looks fine.
