Loads of people complain about the Thanks feature on boards on feedback, but I think it's great.

Just like in real life, it makes you feel better to thank somebody. Also, if you thank posts that you find funny and interesting, you can search all the posts you thanked in your profile, thus they act like bookmarks!

If you are browsing through a thread quickly, the amount of thanks a post gets is often a good indicator whether the post is worth reading!

Also I love how there is a Thumbs up button but there is no Thumbs Down button - a bit like this forum, focusing on the positive!
