Have done similar threads on various other boards so I thought, why not start one here for the fine folks of C+H to peruse. The premise is fairly simple, post a picture (whether a stock-photo or one you have taken yourself) showing a purchase you have recently made. And then BAM. Get your discussion on.

I'll get the ball rolling cos I'm awesome.

Bought an Acer Aspire One d250 netbook the other day for taking notes in lectures and essay writing in the library.

And just a few minutes ago I bought Mass Effect 2 for the PC cos' I'm a filthy nerd.

Only really read the intro to the First one so far, second one I don't know if I'll ever use that much, but sure I was getting the other two anyway so I might as well get this one two since it was going cheap.

The ending to the sequel is a bit disappointing to be honest.
    Turns out it was z^3 + xy^2

With how this thread is going so far, we could just put a big /nerd at the end of it. :P I haven't bought anything big, sure it's just after Christmas! I bought a pair of GAA shorts recently. Best. Buy. Ever.

You sure? I'm only 95% confident of that...

That's a pretty cool laptop though. I kinda wish I'g goten a smaller one (mines a 15 inch screen). It's a bit of a hassle to carry around with me.

Thats why I got it to be honest. I have a 15-incher at home but whipping that yoke out in lectures intimidates people. This ones only 10 inches and weighs just over 1kg so it fits everywhere way better. It only cost 200 quid as well which is super-reasonable.

200 is pretty good value. Then again I haven't really been looking since September so I've no idea of prices.

This is the site I bought it off. I have used them before when I was building my desktop pc and they are really great. Reasonable prices on everything, cheap and speedy shipping. Couldn't recommend them highly enough.

How big a purchase are we talking here? If it's anything of value what so ever then...

    starbucks-coffee-cup.jpg

But if it's something actually valuable, then this beautiful little clock radio/speaker system for my iPhone.

Value doesn't matter, although you do get extra points for innuendos

This rule seems to be common to all threads in which you frequently post.

    I'm speechless.
Luckily I can still type so I'm able to overcome my newfound disability to tell you how awesome it is.

This thread has far too much nerdiness, so I'mma help Piste pretty it up a bit...

To counter SarcasticFairy's girly niceness, I went out and purchased some explosions and boobs:

    I bought this
    persepolis.jpg

I bought that ages ago but never got around to reading it. I've a huge backlog of books I need to plough through. Looks really interesting though.
My wallet got stolen a couple of weeks ago and I haven't got my replacement bank card yet so I've nothing of worth to post here yet. :(

Is that dress from A-wear? I saw it a little while ago, I wanted to get it but I had no money :( It's very pretty though :D

It is very pretty, I tried it on and it looked horrible on me though :( I'd say it'd suit SarcasticFairy though.

They're all from a|wear! :) The last one was on sale, but they didn't have much in the way of sizes left (ie, you can be a 6, or a 16... very little in between...) and they had no grey... but it was something like €15 so \o/
