I know that it used to be 350 but I'm remember getting an email around Christmas saying they had raised it to 450, did they or am I just dreaming.

    From the 3v site: www.3v.ie

USE YOUR 3V CUSTOMER CARD TO BUY A 3V VOUCHER
Go to a participating payzone shop. Hand the shop assistant your 3V Customer Card and ask for a 3V Voucher for the amount you require. The minimum amount you can purchase is for €20 and the maximum amount is €350 (in multiples of €10). Pay the shop assistant the money for the value of the 3V Voucher you have bought, as well as the purchase fee for each voucher.

Yeah says here on their site that €350 is the max, with a €5 purchase fee.

Hmm, I must have been dreaming so. Either that or they never bothered to change the info on their site. Thanks lads.

I remember reading/hearing somewhere that you can buy a voucher for €350 and another voucher for €150 and then transfer the €150 voucher to the €350 voucher and have €500 on voucher to spend? Of course you'd still have to pay the purchase and transfer fee's.

    I can't remember where I saw/read/heard this though.

I recall getting an email from 3v saying they'd raised the limit to €500...

    Aha!
    # Go shopping online safely!

When you want to buy something online, over the phone or by mail order, and are at the payment page, select 'VISA' as the method of payment. Then enter your 16-digit VISA number from your 3V Voucher and the expiry date and the CVV2 (the security code) which have been sent to you separately.

If you don't use all the value on your 3V Voucher or it expires, you can redeem any funds left within the Online Customer Service section of the site. A €5.00 fee will be applied for redemption of any remaining balance.

You can also transfer money from one 3V Voucher to another that hasn't expired. For example if you have €5 left on one Voucher and have just bought a new one, you can transfer the remaining money across, as long as the overall balance of your unexpired 3V Voucher doesn't exceed €500. The amount you have selected will then be transferred automatically to your other Voucher less the transfer fee of €2.50. The 3V Voucher from which you take the money must be active, or be within two months of its expiry date and the balance of the 3V Voucher that receives the money cannot exceed €500.

You cannot buy a €500 voucher. You can however buy a €350 voucher and €150 voucher and transfer one onto the other. You will be charged a fee to do this.
