You order it the normal way, if you're asking what I think you are.

Just order HD, they'll call you to confirm the details, and they'll offer you to selfinstall (don't know what happens if you decline).

Existing customer has to pay €40 per box on online order. Does anyone know how much further discount for self-install?

Update: It's down to €30 now. So €30 in total of reductions, €20 being on-line order and another €10 for self-install.

But they are still charging us €30 for us to plug a cable into a STB. This is a ridiculous charge.

RangeR they call it an activation charge, but really its to offset the cost of the box and for €30?(it was €90 when they were first introduced the HD box a few months ago) its more than worth it. The HD+ box is without a doubt the best box (picture quality and responsive) UPC/NTL has every had.

I took the plunged and ordered a +HD box last week. While waiting for my order, I wrote an email to customer services and sales. Extract:
I believe that I've been outstanding customer given that all bills are always paid on time, I think a waiver on the activation fees would be appreciated.

It would a disgrace that new customers pay no activation fees while loyal existing customers are subject to these fees. Especially for the two Digital+ boxes installation fees that I paid for in the past.

And today, I got this reply:
Thank you for your email, my sincere apologies for the delay in getting back to you.

As we have recieved your mail,I do understand your concern as per your request we will not be able to waive off the connection fees as it a company policy.

But as you have self installed the product you will recieve a credit of 30 euros after the installation & you will also recieve one Digital+ HD box.
Thank you for your interest to our products.

The box has arrived today. It better be worth 30 euros and long years of a customer loyalty and patience.
