Chorus Sagem Digi Boxes upgrade - Why?

    Just wondering what the software upgrade I downloaded into the box and the new viewing card are for, is it new channels or better picture quality?

    whilst I'm at it, i have a universal remote, does anyone know the code for the sagem ITD 631?

    Hey,

    the upgrades are to do with encryption (mainly) to keep dodge boxes off the network. There were a few channels added recently which is mainly down to these update.

    Basically you have downloaded the Nagra 3 software which means the end of dodgy boxes you will not see any difference this was just a security measure by UPC to stop people getting there contant for free

    well i got the two ESPN's and ITV2...... no sign of ESPN Classic down here though.

    ESPN classic is on the Max pack only.

    what is the max pack, I have never heard of it. I thought I had the full Chorus Digi Pack?

    AFAIK, those channels are not on MMDS. There's a high likelihood they won't be added either, due to limited capacity on MMDS.

    When I got on to them originally it was a result of promotional material that I got in the post.......I was interested in the Family Sports Pack with the Digital +.......and multiroom....

    However after checking my address in Tralee I was told that I could only get MMDS and would have to get the Made to Measure Digital Max with the Soprts Pack as an add on...I checked their channel line up for the Digital Max pack and it includes ITV 2,3,4...ESPN CLassic and Hallmark...There could be some fun with customer services over the next few days....."False Advertising"

    It is a little misleading alright - you DON'T get all of the channels listed on the Max Pack on the website. In fact, there's quite a lot missing the last time I checked the chorus MMDS lineup.
