The problem as far as the judge was concerned today was that Terry didn't give a crap about the parties involved either!
It was apparent to the judge that "Terry was more concerned about the threat to his lucrative sponsorship deals". Nothing more.
Possibly in the interests of those deals and the good faith that companies enter into, the public image that they wish to broadcast, spend hundreds of thousands on if not millions, the continuation of showing the man up to be one thing when in fact he was another, would be tantamount to a form of fraudulent imagery on the public - and thats where the public interest comes into play.

Terry and his legal representatives didn't give a toss in court about who's lives were personally effected. He was just worried about one thing - his bank account.

"“It does not seem likely to me that the concern expressed on LNS’s (court name for Terry) behalf for the private lives of the other person and the interested persons is altruistic. This claim is essentially a business matter.”
...“That is why sponsors may be sensitive to the public image of sports-persons whom they pay to promote their products."

...the judge said Terry had made no mention of personal distress and appeared to be 'a very robust personality.' He said the secrecy claim was more likely to be about 'protection of reputation' and was 'essentially a business matter'.
The judge was critical of the way Terry, his business partners and Schillings, one of the best-known celebrity law firms, had tried to keep the affair under wraps.
