I'm surprised at ESPN, would have made more sense for them to do this next weekend so that viewers can see what their premiership coverage is like, which would be the main reason for signing up with them in the first place.

That's exactly what I was thinking - doesn't make any sense to me to have it free on a weekend that there's no Prem football on, especially when there's so much on Setanta Ireland this coming weekend with the FA Cup.......

I see it says it is free to Virgin viewers. Does it say anything about UPC?

Must be the internet at work thinking I am in the UK because I can only see UK providers.

from fine print at the bottom of the page:

"ESPN is available in the UK on Sky, Virgin Media, Top Up TV, BT Vision, TalkTalk and Smallworld, and in Ireland on Sky and Chorus/NTL. ESPN, it’s great to be here. *There will be no discount in relation to the free weekend for existing subscribers to ESPN."
