UPC Multi-Room box

Just got a box installed in another room yesterday. I was at work so my mother left the guy in. Got home last night to find a really old box (cleary second hand) and really badly worn and dirty remote. Should I have been give a new box and remote? Tried ringing them twice but lost patience when on hold and hung up.

You should have been. I would call and complain and get a new box.

Finally got through to them and they told me that I should definitely have received a new box. Waiting on a techie to ring me to arrange to get it changed.
