Hmmm...this seems to me like schoolyard scene, where all the nerds (yous said it, not me) are having a good time talking to each other and then a threatening bastard walks up and says something scumbag-like and all the nerds look down at the ground, exubing a lack of self-confidence and just hoping the scumbag leaves so that they can resume living in their little comfort zone.
