Im interested in switching my phone and broadband services to upc and currently subscribe to their digital tv service. I wish to keep my existing home number but have to go through a porting process and it says you have to cancel your current broadband service before the process can take place. Just wondering if anyone has experienced this, how long the process may take, and how long ill be without broadband. Also, i think i am under contract with my current provider so will this affect the process?

UPC broadband runs over the same cable that delivers TV.

If you sign up for their broadband, you can cancel your existing one when it is installed. Once it is canceled, you can begin the port.
